worship update

November 29, 2020, Sunday Worship Update

Church Pastor's Blog

Greetings FUMC Borger Family,

Our Church Council met to discuss our plans on moving forward in light of the rising numbers of active COVID cases in Hutchinson County and its affect on our congregation.

For two Sundays, November 22nd and November 29th, we will be online only. You can find the worship service on FUMC Borger’s Facebook page. There is a link on the bottom of this post to our Facebook page.

Our plan is to return to in-person worship on Sunday, December 6th.

This decision was made in light of the number of active cases, projected increase of cases, and its current affect on the FUMC family. We have a decent number in our church family who either have active cases or have been exposed.

I understand that this will be disappointing for some in our church family.  The community gathering for worship it vital to the life and mission of the church, individual spiritual growth, and outreach to the community.  The church will continue to do these things, even if they temporarily look and feel different than what we are used to.

Thank you for understanding and thank you for your awesome commitment to the FUMC Borger family of faith.  These crazy times will pass.  We will return to a “normal” in the near future.  Parts of this “normal” will be very familiar and parts will be new.

That said, let me say thank you again!

Thank you for your continued support!

Thank you for understanding, even if it is disappointing!

Thank you all for your continued financial support of the FUMC Borger mission: To Make New A Deeply Rooted Disciples Of Jesus Christ!

Thank you being a part of the FUMC Borger Family of Faith!

God Bless You All & See You Soon!
