In-Person Worship Starts Back May 24, 2020

Church News & Events

We will be returning to in-person worship on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at 10:40 am!

The worship service will be outdoors on the west lawn, along McGee St.

As part of reopening to in-person worship, we will be implementing some safety measures.

If you do not feel well or feel uncomfortable gathering in-person, we will continue to live-stream the worship service and have it available on YouTube and our church website to view later.

Please watch the video below for more information and the safety guidelines. Detailed information is listed below the video as well.

We will continue to livestream the worship service for those who feel uncomfortable gathering in larger groups and for those who cannot attend.

We cannot wait to gather together again.

This is Phase 1 of re-opening the church building.

This Sunday and next Sunday, we will worship outdoors on the west lawn (where we have the block parties) at 10:40am.

Be sure to bring a blanket, lawn chairs, or whatever you would like to sit on. We will provide chairs for those that would like them (but a warning, they are the metal chairs…).

During Phase 1, we will reopen only for Sunday morning worship. Sunday School, The Table, Kingdom Kids, all other discipleship ministries and groups, and our nursery will start back in Phases 2 and 3.

Worship Attendance Health Guidelines

1. Individuals more vulnerable to illness are urged to remain home.

While all people are invited to attend services, we recommend that those identified at higher risk should consider continuing to worship online from home.

2. Individuals exhibiting symptoms of illness will not be admitted.

For the safety of others, anyone showing symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or difficulty breathing will be instructed to stay home and worship online.

3. Entrance to the building will be restricted.

Ushers will unlock the south office door, sanctuary doors, and west education building doors 20 minutes prior to the start of the worship service. Please keep your distance from others on the sidewalk. Please do not crowd the doors, or gather in groups on the lawn.

4. Individuals are urged to practice good hygiene will in attendance.

Attendees should sanitize their hands when entering and leaving the building. Wearing a mask is not required, but it is recommended while in the church building.

5. Individuals will be seated by household at a safe social distance.

For the safety of others, we will practice social distancing while worshiping outdoors. When we being to worship in the sanctuary, every other pew will be roped off to ensure individuals and households stay 6-feet apart.

6. Physical contact among individuals will be restricted.

For the safety of others, please refrain from offering hugs, handshakes, or other forms of physical contact with other attendees outside your household.

7. The following church activities are postponed until further notice.

Sunday School, The Table, church potlucks and meals; “Passing the Peace,” “Children’s Message,” and passing the offering plate to help minimize contact.

I look forward to seeing all of you soon.

God Bless,
Pastor Bobby
